The much-rumored HTC One Mini may not be a T-Mobile exclusive after all, as a new report claims the handset is headed to AT&T.
The smaller version of the company's current flagship smartphone is one of the most rumored devices of this year and it seems that "Mini" is now a trend. While the HTC One goes head to head with the Samsung Galaxy S4 for the hottest Android smartphone award, the HTC One Mini may give the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini a run for its money.
A few days ago word on the street was that the HTC One Mini, codenamed M4, would arrive as a T-Mobile exclusive. Now, however, PhoneArena cites sources close to HTC and claims the HTC One Mini will make its way to AT&T's network as well. The publication could not say for sure when the handset will go on sale, but it is expected to launch by August.
The August timeframe came from a Bloomberg report citing two people working closely with the Taiwanese manufacturer on the HTC One Mini project. So far the company has yet to officially announce the much-rumored HTC One, but the rumor mill is busy churning nonetheless.
The HTC One Mini is expected to sport a 4.3-inch display with a 720p resolution. In terms of design, the smaller handset will likely look very similar to its older brother, the HTC One, except for a plastic ring supposedly surrounding the display.
The upcoming HTC One Mini will also reportedly pack a dual-core Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.4GHz. When it comes to operating system, the device will likely run on the latest Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with HTC's Sense 5 user interface (UI) on top.
With no release date and no official announcement, it's difficult to tell at this point whether the rumored specs are accurate or not, or how much it will cost. If the August timeframe proves to be true, more details regarding the HTC One Mini's specs, features, price and availability should become available soon enough.
Keep in mind that it's all in the rumor state for now, so take things with a grain of salt until HTC officially announces its One Mini smartphone.
