The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition (Wi-Fi-only) have made their expected debut on Verizon's network.
The much-awaited Samsung Galaxy Note 3 comes with a $299.99 price tag subsidized, i.e. with a standard two-year contract, or a hefty $699.99 unlocked. On the Edge plan, the device will cost $29.31 per month. The Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition, meanwhile, starts at $549.99 for the 16GB unlocked model.
The Galaxy Note 3 was one of the most highly-anticipated devices of this year and it's a true powerhouse, sporting top-notch internals and a monster screen. The massive 5.7-inch AMOLED display packs a full 1080p resolution and the new-generation Galaxy Note phablet also brings enhancements to the popular S Pen and accompanying software.
Under the hood, the Galaxy Note 3 packs the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with 3GB of RAM. The phablet also comes with 32GB of internal storage space and a microSD card slot for additional memory. Other specs include a 13-megapixel rear camera and a large 3,200 mAh battery. Verizon has previously offered pre-order bundles for the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear smartwatch, but for now it seems that the Note 3 is available only separately. Interested buyers can head here for the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
The new Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition, meanwhile, seems like an expanded version of the Galaxy Note 3 phablet in some aspects. The Wi-Fi-only Galaxy tablet, however, comes with a 10.1-inch LCD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 and packs an Exynos 5420 processor under the hood, while the camera has just 8 megapixels, not 13 like the Note 3.
The base model comes with 16GB of internal storage space and costs $549.99, while a 32GB model goes up to $599.99. With such a price tag, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition is one of the most expensive Android tablets currently available on the market. The slate is available from both Best Buy and Amazon in black or white color options, but the latter retailer lists a delay until Oct. 12 for the black model.
