The HTC One Mini in a red avatar will launch in the UK as an exclusive to retailer Phones4U, which will make it available on several mobile carriers.
HTC invested a lot of effort in its current flagship smartphone, the HTC One, creating a beautiful handset with an elegant metal unibody design high-end specs. Seeing the success of its new flagship, the company went on to launch spin-offs of the handset to cover the phablet and mini ranges of the smartphone market.
The HTC One Mini is obviously the smaller version of the HTC One. It retains the same overall design as the flagship, but comes with a smaller display and slightly lower specs. It does, however, keep many of the features that made the HTC One so popular.
For those unfamiliar with the device, the HTC One Mini sports a 4.3-inch Super LCD HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, Adreno 305 graphics, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage capacity. Other specs include HTC's popular UltraPixel camera with full HD 1080p recording capabilities and a 1.6-megapixel front-facing shooter able to record 720p video.
The smartphone also supports 4G LTE, A-GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and comes with a decent 1,800 mAh battery.
The HTC One Mini is essentially designed as a more compact HTC One, designed for consumers who find the 4.7-inch display of the flagship a little too big. The smaller version is hardly "Mini" at 4.3 inches, but some may find it more comfortable to hold or slip into a pocket.
As previously mentioned, the red version of the HTC One Mini will launch in the UK as an exclusive to Phones4U. The retailer will make it available with a number of mobile carriers, including EE, Orange, Vodafone, and T-Mobile.
The red version of the handset is due to make its UK debut sometime in November, but no specific date is available at this point. In the meantime, interested buyers can register their interest on Phones4U's product page for the red HTC One at this link.
