The Verizon-bound Nokia Lumia 929 has posed for the camera again, leaking in new images and with more specifications.
Nokia had a big event in Abu Dhabi a few weeks ago, where it announced its new Lumia 1520 and Lumia 2520 among other things, but the company is reportedly not done yet.
One of the devices notably missing from Nokia's Abu Dhabi unveilings was the Lumia 929, which is expected to hit Verizon soon. According to a new report, the smartphone is currently in carrier testing and could make its debut between Thanksgiving and early 2014.
The Nokia Lumia 929 is expected to launch as a high-end smartphone with a 5-inch 1080p display, a quad-core processor and powerful internals, like an enhanced version of the Lumia 928, custom-built for Verizon.
Windows Phone Central has now posted high quality photos of the purported Verizon Nokia Lumia 929, as well as more details regarding the smartphone's specifications.
According to the new report, the Verizon Nokia Lumia 929 will sport a 5-inch AMOLED display with a high resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, pack a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.2GHz, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage capacity, with no microSD card slot for additional memory.
The smartphone will further boast a 20-megapixel rear camera with Nokia's PureView technology, dual LED flash and oversampling (16-megapixel + 5-megapixel photos), as well as a front-facing shooter. The Lumia 929 will support NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy (LE), Qi wireless charging, FM radio, and at least three HAAC microphones. Apps and features will include Data Sense, NFL Mobile, Verizon Tones, Nokia StoryTeller, My Verizon Mobile, Nokia Screen Beamer, and VZ Navigator, among others. The handset will reportedly launch in two color options: Glossy White or Matte Black.
"Our source of the images has revealed that the body is similar to the Lumia 928, through there is a metal band wrapping around the edge of the phone to make it sturdier. There is a headphone jack on the center-top and a micro USB charger at the bottom, a change from the Lumia 928. Buttons are said to be ceramic and the LTE radio takes a micro SIM card, which is positioned near the top," WP Central further notes.
The Verizon Nokia Lumia 929 will reportedly ship with Microsoft's latest Windows Phone Update 3 (GDR3) on board, as well as Nokia's Lumia Black firmware.
