Best Buy has announced that it will exclusively offer a Blue Arctic version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 starting on Nov. 14.
Elite and Elite Plus members will be able to pre-order the Blue Arctic Samsung Galaxy S4 from Best Buy starting this Friday, Nov. 8, while everyone else will have to wait until Nov. 10 to do so.
The new Blue Arctic color option is basically a glossy, plastic blue model. This exclusive follows Best Buy's move to offer the Metallic Blue HTC One back in September.
"The Samsung Galaxy S 4 will be available in Blue exclusively at Best Buy starting Thursday, Nov. 14," announced the retailer. "The Blue Arctic Galaxy S 4 will be available on AT&T, Sprint and Verizon Wireless at the Samsung Experience Shops at the more than 1,400 Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile stores as well as on BestBuy.com."
"The Galaxy S 4 provides a suite of industry-leading innovations that change how consumers interact with a smartphone," the press release further touts. "It is the first device to enable consumers to control the device with touch-less features including scrolling or turning a page, viewing documents within a file folder or a link on a web page. It enhances memorable moments with innovative camera features that captures progressive action and removes unwanted people from the photo."
Other than the new Arctic Blue color, the Samsung Galaxy S4 remains the same, with no specs changed. The smartphone features a 5-inch full HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080, a pixel density of 441 pixels per inch (ppi) and Gorilla Glass protection. The handset further packs a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.9GHz, paired with 2GB of RAM.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 also includes a 13-megapixel rear camera with auto flash, zero shutter lag and 1080p recording capabilities, and a 2-megapixel front camera. When it comes to connectivity, the smartphone supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, 4G LTE, as well as infrared LED universal remote control. Samsung has also packed a large 2,600 mAh removable battery.
