Apple's 12 Days of Gifts app is now available in the U.S. as well, marking the first time that U.S. residents can access it.
The digital gifts app has been available in other countries so far, but Apple never extended this offer to the U.S. until now. As this is the first year that the app is available in the U.S., it is expected to enjoy great success.
From Dec. 26 to Jan. 6, iFans will be able to get a free download each day as a gift from Apple through the 12 Days of Gifts app. The offer includes songs, apps, books, movies, and others such.
Once Apple makes one goody available for free through this app, interested users will have 24 hours to get it. Each of the 12 days will come with a different offer, so you have to get what you want within 24 hours of availability. It's also worth pointing out, however, that some content will still be limited to various regions, as Apple itself notes.
"From 26 December - 6 January, you can download a gift every day - songs, apps, books, films, and ore - with the 12 Days of Gifts app. Each day's gift will only be available for 24 hours, so download the free app to make sure you don't miss out. Please note: Not all content is available in all countries," explains Apple on the app's download page.
Apple's 12 Days of Gifts app has been available in Europe, Canada, and some other countries for a few years now. It has enjoyed great popularity among iOS users and the extended availability to the U.S. will most likely make it even more popular.
The 12 Days of Gifts promotion has always received high praise, as it served as a great way for those who receive an iOS device as a holiday gift to discover and download popular content for free. The promotion starts on the second day of Christmas, when presumably most gifts have already been given. If you find a new iOS device under your Christmas tree this holiday season, check out Apple's promotional app to get started on content.
