Amazon has a special deal for the Sprint HTC One, currently offering the smartphone for just $19.99 with a new two-year contract.
The HTC One is widely considered one of the best smartphones to come out this year. The company invested in both hardware and design, and the result was nothing short of impressive. The smartphone boasts a stylish aluminum unibody design that gives it a premium look and feel, and packs high-end specifications and software functionality that make it one of the best in its class. The handset's HTC BoomSound and Beats Audio integration have also received high praise.
In terms of specifications, the HTC One sports a scratch-resistant 4.7-inch full HD Super LCD 3 display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor clocked at 1.7GHz, and 2GB of RAM. The smartphone also packs 32GB of internal storage capacity and ships with Android 4.1, with an update to Android 4.4 KitKat promised for January 2014.
The HTC One also features the company's much-touted UltraPixel camera, which has a dedicated chip for taking the best photos and can shoot 1080p video. The smartphone was also widely appreciated for the sound quality it delivers, as it has Beats Audio integration, as well as HTC BoomSound that comes with dual front-facing stereo speakers with a dedicated amplifier.
When it comes to connectivity options, the HTC One features 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and NFC. The smartphone also comes with an IR blaster that allows it to serve as a universal remote control. The handset packs a 2,300 mAh non-removable battery.
Sprint is currently selling its version of the popular HTC One for $99.99 on-contract online and in retail stores, but Amazon is undercutting the carrier's pricing by a wide margin.
The retailer is now offering the Sprint HTC One for just $19.99 when signing a new two-year contract, allowing for considerable savings compared to the carrier's asking price. As usual, Amazon is also throwing in free two-day shipping with the order. With the holidays just around the corner, smartphone and tablet sales are expected to boom, especially with such heavy discounts.
