Amazon has a great deal on the Samsung Galaxy S4, offering the smartphone for just $0.01 when signing a new two-year contract with AT&T, Verizon, or Sprint.

While normally you can't get much for a penny, this time you can get a whole lot of high-end technology packed into one of the hottest smartphones of 2013. The Samsung Galaxy S4 has received high praise for its top-notch specs and features and has proved to be very popular with consumers.

Samsung launched its Galaxy S4 to compete with other high-end flagships out there, including Apple's iPhone 5S, which was yet to debut at that point. The company did a very good job with its new-generation Galaxy flagship smartphone, as the handset has successfully competed with rivals and continues to be one of the most popular devices of 2013. The Galaxy S4 is the best-selling smartphone on all carriers, and new deals are only bound to make it more attractive.

The Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint Samsung Galaxy S4 is now available for just $0.01 through Amazon. As expected, the price applies when agreeing to sign a new two-year contract with one of the three carriers.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 sports a 5-inch full HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080, a pixel density of 441 pixels per inch (ppi) and Gorilla Glass 3 protection for extra scratch-resistance. Under the hood, the smartphone packs a powerful quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.9GHz, coupled with 2GB of RAM.

Other specs of the Samsung Galaxy S4 include 16GB of internal storage capacity, and a microSD card slot for additional memory of up to 64GB. The smartphone also boasts a 13-megapixel rear camera with auto flash, zero shutter lag and full HD video recording capabilities, as well as a 2-megapixel front shooter. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and an IR blaster that allows the smartphone to serve as a universal remote control with a dedicated program guide.

On the software side, the Samsung Galaxy S4 ships with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box, but can be upgraded to Android 4.3 via OTA. The smartphone is also expected to get an upgrade to the latest Android 4.4 KitKat soon.

If you'd like to start off the new year with a brand new high-end smartphone, you can now get the Verizon, AT&T, or Sprint Samsung Galaxy S4 for just one penny on a two-year contract. As usual, the retailer is also offering free two-day shipping with the order.
