The Rose Gold Samsung Galaxy Note 3 recently made its debut as a Verizon exclusive and Amazon is now offering the phablet for $219.99.
Just in time for Valentine's Day, the Rose Gold variant of the popular Samsung Galaxy Note 3 flagship phablet has now received a notable price cut on Amazon.
Other than the new paint job, the Rose Gold Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is in no way different from the original model in terms of specs and features. It just changes its look, sporting rose gold color accents on the rim, around the camera and home button, and on the S Pen. The Rose Gold model also comes with a white front around its display, and its faux-leather back case is also white.
In terms of specifications, the Galaxy Note 3 boasts a large 5.7-inch full HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a pixel density of 386 pixels per inch (ppi). It packs a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz, Adreno 300 graphics, and a hefty 3GB of RAM for a fast and fluid performance.
Other specs include 32GB of internal storage capacity, a microSD card slot for additional memory of up to 64GB, a 13-megapixel illuminated rear camera with "smart stabilization," and a 1.3-megapixel front shooter. Both cameras come with full HD video recording capabilities. Connectivity options, meanwhile, consist of 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, NFC, and an IR blaster that turns the device into a universal control remote. A large 3,200 mAh battery will provide a good battery life, lasting for up to 24 hours of continuous use on a single charge.
On the software side, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 ships with Android 4.3 and Samsung's TouchWiz UI on top, but an update to the latest Android 4.4 KitKat is currently in testing and should roll out soon.
Verizon is selling the Rose Gold Samsung Galaxy Note 3 for $249.99 on-contract, but Amazon is undercutting the carrier's price by offering the same device for $219.99. As expected, the price implies signing a new two-year contract with Verizon.
