Amazon has a new deal in place for the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 3, offering the popular phablet for $149.99 on-contract.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has proved to be the most popular, best-selling device in the company's Note lineup, and is currently one of the best Android phablets on the market. Boasting a large 5.7-inch display and top-notch specs and features, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has quickly surpassed the success of all its predecessors.
The new-generation Galaxy Note flagship phablet is thinner and lighter than the Galaxy Note 2 despite its larger display, and it also sports enhanced S Pen functionality and a slew of neat Samsung features. Moreover, Samsung has also upped its game a bit when it comes to the Galaxy Note 3 design, releasing the phablet with a faux-leather back plate that adds a more premium look and feel compared to the plastic casing found on other Samsung devices.
In terms of specifications, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 comes with a 5.7-inch full HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a pixel density of 386 pixel per inch (ppi). It packs a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3GHz, Adreno 330 graphics, and a hefty 3GB of RAM. Other specs include a 13-megapixel illuminated rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter, with both cameras able to record 1080p video.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 further features 32GB of internal storage capacity, a microSD card slot for additional memory of up to 64GB, and a large 3,200 removable battery. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, NFC, and an IR blaster that can turn the Galaxy Note 3 into a universal remote control with a dedicated program guide. On the software side, the phablet ships with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and Samsung's TouchWiz UI on board, but an update to the latest Android 4.4 KitKat is expected shortly.
Verizon Wireless is currently selling the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 for $199.99 when signing a new two-year contract, but Amazon is undercutting the carrier's offer. The retailer is now selling the same device for $50 off, i.e. $149.99 when signing a new two-year contract with Verizon, allowing for some neat savings. Amazon doesn't note when this deal will expire, but it may not be available for long.
