Motorola has extended the availability of its Moto X promotion by another week, offering the smartphone for $70 off without a contract until Feb. 22.
The Moto X is the company's current flagship smartphone and it stirred plenty of interest due to its unprecedented and unparalleled customization options, as well as its neat functionality.
Motorola has offered several deals for its Moto X flagship so far, and the company has just added one more week to its current promotion. Launched a while back, this deal allows interested buyers to purchase a Moto X off-contract for $70 less than its normal pricing. The promotion was set to expire at midnight on Feb. 14, but Motorola has extended the deal through Feb. 22.
Under this promotion, the 16GB Moto X is available for purchase for $329 off-contract from Motorola's online store. The deal doesn't imply any coupon or special code, the discount will be automatically applied at checkout when using Moto Maker to customize the smartphone. According to a company tweet, Motorola has extended the promotion as a Valentine gift.
"Feel the love for another week. Buy any Moto X, without a contract, through February 22 and get $70 off. For a natural touch add a real wood finish with Moto Maker," further touts a promotional email we received from Motorola.
As a reminder, the Moto X originally launched with a $499 price tag off-contract, which was considered quite steep since the smartphone comes with mid-range specifications. Motorola later dropped the price to $399, while this latest promotion further slashes the price to $329. The $70 discount also applies to the Moto X Developer Edition.
As a reminder, the Moto X comes with a 4.7-inch HD display with 720p resolution, a 1.7GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage capacity. Other specs include a 10-megapixel ClearPixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front shooter. The smartphone ships with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, but is upgradeable out of the box to Android 4.4 KitKat on all major U.S. carriers.
The Moto X may not be the highest-end smartphone out there, but its $329 price off-contract, combined with the neat customization options it offers through Moto Maker, aim to make the handset more attractive to potential buyers.
