Verizon-bound LG G Vista leaks online: LG G3 Mini or rebranded LG G3?
Alexandra BurlacuAn ad for an unannounced LG G Vista smartphone has leaked online, sending the rumor mill into overdrive trying to figure out what this device is.
The promotional material shows a smartphone tucked into a protective shell/holster, which makes it rather difficult to determine what LG G handset this is. One theory is that it may be the elusive LG G3 Mini, which has been rumored several times before but has yet to make an official appearance.
Another possibility, meanwhile, is that this is simply Verizon's version of the flagship LG G3, sporting a different branding. This would not be unheard of, as Verizon likes to put its own fingerprint on flagship devices in its lineup. The display would be one of the major clues to determine which device this is, but the protective cover wrapping up the smartphone makes it hard to estimate the size of the screen.
The image (see above) comes from none other than well-known and trusted tipster @evleaks, who has provided accurate information about yet-to-be-announced devices on countless occasions in the past. The tipster's excellent track record is no guarantee that this purported LG G Vista will actually hit Big Red's network, but it does make it more credible.
From what the leaked image does reveal, the smartphone definitely looks like a next-generation LG device judging by its rounded corners and the wallpaper on the display. Whether it's an LG G3 Mini or just Verizon's own version of the LG G3 remains to be seen, but the device would surely be a great addition to Big Red's portfolio.
As a reminder, LG launched its latest flagship smartphone as the LG G3 back in May. The handset boasts a top-notch 5.5-inch display with a high resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels at a pixel density of 534 ppi. The smartphone further packs a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, a 13-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), and plenty of other top-of-the-line specs and features.
The Verizon LG G Vista is yet to be confirmed at this point, but if @evleaks proves to be accurate we should hear more about it soon enough. We'll keep you up to date as soon as additional details become available, so stay tuned.
