AT&T, T-Mobile reveal pricing and options for Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge
Alexandra BurlacuThe Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge are ready to debut soon, and AT&T and T-Mobile have now announced their prices for the handsets.
Unveiled back at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015 earlier this month, the new Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge powerhouses will hit retail in the U.S. on April 10. All four major U.S. carriers will be offering the smartphones, and AT&T and T-Mobile now have more details in this regards.
AT&T
AT&T has officially announced that it will offer the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge in 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB storage configurations, as well as white, black, or gold color options. The carrier only offered pricing details for the 32GB versions in the press release, but all prices are available on its website.
"AT&T is proud to add the Galaxy S 6 and Galaxy S 6 edge to our industry leading portfolio of Samsung smartphones and the network with the nation's strongest LTE signal.9 Samsung pushed the design and innovation envelope by enhancing essentials such as the camera and display, while combining its fast and powerful processor with a stunning metal and sophisticated glass design," Jeff Bradley, AT&T Mobility Senior Vice President of Device Marketing and Developer Services, announced in a new press release.
The 32GB Samsung Galaxy S6 costs $22.84 per month for 30 months with AT&T Next 24, $199.99 with a two-year contract, or $684.99 with no annual contract. The 64GB model costs $26.16 per month for 30 months with AT&T Next 24, $299.99 with a two-year contract, and $784.99 with no annual contract. The higher-capacity 128GB version is $29.50 per month for 30 monts with AT&T Next 24, $399.99 with a two-year contract, and $884.99 wihtout a contract.
The 32GB Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge costs $27.17 per month for 30 months with Next 24, $299.99 with a two-year contract, and $814.99 with no annual contract. The 64GB model is $30.50 per month for 30 months with AT&T Next 24, $399.99 with a two-year contract, and $914.99 contract-free. Lastly, the 128GB version coss $33.84 per month for 30 months with AT&T Next 24, $499.99 with a two-year contract, and $1,014.99 with no annual contract.
T-Mobile
The Uncarrier, meanwhile, has a more attractive promotion for Samsung's next-generation flagships, as T-Mobile is offering one year of Netflix for free (worth $107.88) when purchasing the Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 Edge. At the same time, T-Mobile also offered full pricing details for all models of the two handsets.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 on T-Mobile will cost $679.92, $759.99, and $859.99 for the 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB variants, respectively. At the same time, the handset is also available with monthly installment options: the 32GB model costs $0 down followed by 24 monthly payments of $28.33, the 64GB version requires $99 down and 24 monthly payments of $27.50, while the 128GB model costs $199.99 down and 24 monthly payments of $27.50.
The Galaxy S6 Edge will cost $779.76, $859.83, or $959.83 for the 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB models, respectively, and will also be available with monthly installment plans. The 32GB Galaxy S6 Edge costs $0 down and 24 subsequent payments of $32.49 per month, the 64GB model is $99 down with 24 monthly installments of $31.66, while the 128GB version is $199.99 followed by 24 installments of $31.66 per month.
