Preview: iPhone 7 vs Galaxy Note 6
Staff ReporterCould Apple Inc. beat its old foe Samsung Electronics Co. this year? Rumors have suggested Apple and Samsung will unleash their new flagship smartphones in August and September, separately. Therefore, the critical battle may most likely start this fall.
It could be more than 4 months before Apple Inc. release the highly anticipated iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. However, rumors have been buzzing with features of iPhone 7 since last year.
The mills suggested that the iPhone 7 will get few ground breaking features. But Apple's CEO Tim Cook said in a TV interview that iPhone will sport with things people can't live without.
Cook did not speak up any details of the next generation iPhone. Therefore, we have to wait until this fall to see if Cook shot off his mouth.
Mobile&Apps reported that leaked images indicated iPhone 7 will keep the 3.5 mm audio jack, rather than the all in one Lightning port.
Previously, rumors alleged that iPhone 7 will adopt a bigger battery, USB-C, LiFi, A10 processor, a new dual camera, and 3 GB RAM. The upcoming iPhone will reportedly come with waterproofing feature, 256 GB capacity, 3D touch, and a thinner design.
The iPhone 7's appearance design is reportedly similar to iPhone 6s. The phone will have 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch two variants, running iOS 10, which will be very similar to iOS 9.
On the other hand, reports said the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will debut on August, one month earlier than iPhone 7's release date.
Galaxy Note 6 will reportedly adopt reportedly a USB Type C port, a water and dust-resistant feature, Snapdragon 823 processor, 6GB RAM, 256GB Storage, a 4,200 mAh battery, and a 5.8-inch display with 2k resolution.
Rumors also said Galaxy Note 6 will sport a 12-megapixel main camera offering "Super OIS Plus".
According to Pocket-Lint, the Note 6 will run Android Marshmallow 6.0 along with Samsung's TouchWiz interface.
It seems like that the fight will be very tough. What do you think? Which one do you love most?
