'The Winds of Winter' News, Update: George R.R. Martin Teases Release Date Before 2016 Ends?
Eve CesistaFans may now rejoice as news about "The Winds of Winter" reveals that George R.R. Martin is about to finish and will now prepare for the release date before the year ends.
The Bitbag speculated that the novel will be done anytime soon because the author has been spilling beans about some of its chapters. One instance he revealed in Balticon convention that Aeron Greyjoy is more ruthless that Bolton Ramsay.
The outlet also reported that Martin has been teasing the readers about an upcoming character named Arianne Martell. This moves that Martin had made left the website guessing the writer is just polishing the book and it will be out in the last quarter of 2016.
The report came out despite speculations that "The Winds of Winter" release has been delayed again because Martin and his team got sick from the convention. He revealed that the symptoms are coughing, fever, headache, and congestion which did not show up until after the con.
"I am back home again in Santa Fe, after two weeks on the road in Baltimore and New York City. Great trip... but I seem to have brought the plague home with me," he wrote in his online journal.
"So I will keep this short. Lots to report on, lots to catch up on, but just now I don't have the energy. More sleep and more fluids... I should be my old self shortly...." Martin added.
Notably, he also wrote his apology through his blog about the delay of the book in which the readers have been waiting for four years. But the latest news seems to shed some hope for the fans.
On the other hand, there is also a buzz the "Game of Thrones" finale will be spoiling some events on the sixth installment of "A Song of Ice and Fire." But it is not true, according to showrunners David Benioff and Dan Wess.
"People are talking about whether the books are going to be spoiled [by our show]. And it's really not true," Benioff told Entertainment Weekly. "So much of what we're doing diverges from the books at this point."
More news about "The Winds of Winter" soon.
