As fans continue to rally for their candidate as the next James Bond, it appeared that Tom Hiddleston's star is no longer shining so bright as James Norton has reportedly overtaken from being on top of the list of preferred actors to replace Daniel Craig.

Does his new girlfriend Taylor Swift have something to do it?

Based on a recent survey, the 35-year-old "Thor: The Dark World" actor's standing slipped after his romance with the 26-year-old "Bad Blood" singer made headlines, Standard UK, while citing The Sun, reported.

"Tom's cool performance in 'The Night Manager' saw him as a late contender for 007, but initial talks have come to an end," a source reportedly told The Sun about the upcoming James Bond actor.

"Bond needs an air of mystery - his public romance with Taylor has made him totally uncastable," the unnamed informant added.

Can it be concluded that his rumored relationship with the pop star has done him bad rather than good?

Prior to this report, Tom Hiddleston already declared last month at an event in Philadelphia that any announcement about him as the next James Bond actor will no longer happen.

"I'm sorry to disappoint you, everybody," he dished. "I don't think that announcement is coming."

In the meantime, Daily Mail UK reported that female fans could have influenced the rise of James Norton as the top choice to give life to the next adventures of the well-loved English spy.

"JAMES NORTON MIGHT BE THE NEW JAMES BOND PING PING PING THIS IS NOT A DRILL THIS IS EXCITING," one fan tweeted.

Meanwhile, another wrote, 'If James Norton is the new James Bond I'll cry with joy."

Do you think James Norton is a better actor than Tom Hiddleston when it comes to portraying the role of the next James Bond actor?
