Could it be true that the rumored dating couple Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo are set to get married in the "Descendants of the Sun" sequel?

While there have been no official announcements yet about the release of the highly-anticipated sequel, many of their fans have been vocal about their excitement to see them again together.

Are the 30-year-old actor and 34-year-old actress really reprising their roles in the upcoming second "Descendants of the Sun" project?

Amid the dating rumors between Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo, Morning Ledger hinted that their fans' dream for them to make their on-screen romance real may finally come true soon.

Accordingly, their characters Captain Yoo Shi Jin and Kang Mo-Yeon, respectively, will tie the knot in the sequel.

Meanwhile, Movie News Guide suggested that their reel-to-real relationship may face a challenge as Lee Min Ho was reportedly honest in disclosing about his admiration for the "Descendants of the Sun" actress. 

The report noted that the former "Full House" star might have something to do with the "Boys Over Flowers" actor's split from Suzy Bae.

It was learned that the actor even referred to the actress as his "ideal type," as he openly expressed that Song Hye Kyo, who has been linked to Song Joong Ki since they were paired in "Descendants of the Sun," is someone has an "elegant and classic style, with a charisma that is so strong and her acting is just exceptional."

Despite linking her to Lee Min Ho's breakup from Suzy Bae, the report stated that the former lovers were already having problems before Song Hye Kyo's name was dragged into the issue.

In the meantime, Movie News Guide also shared that KBS Drama Department Director Jeong Seongho has already dropped some hints about the release of the "Descendants of the Sun" sequel.
