Amidst rumors that the upcoming Disney franchise movie "Pirates of the Caribbean 5" will be a reboot, new reports claimed that the film's storyline might be focused on one of the lead character Will Turner, and his relationship with his son.

Reports emerged after Orlando Bloom, who plays Will Turner's role, revealed a few details. "Basically, they want to reboot the whole franchise, I think, and do something with me and the relationship with my son," said Bloom, as reported by Sports Rageous.

Furthermore, there are reports that the "Pirates of the Caribbean 5" will feature Will Turner as the main character instead of Captain Jack Sparrow, played by Johnny Depp. This has paved way for the rumors that the upcoming film might be Depp's last in the series, reported Asia Starz. Apart from that, it is rumored that there will be no sequel to the movie as it is expected to be the last in the series as well.

The main reason behind this is assumed to be Disney's take on the film franchise. It is stated that Disney wants the film to be appealing to the younger generation with a new plot and new characters. Chat Sports Net reported the fifth installment of the film series will feature Brenton Thwaites as Henry, Will Turner's son, and Kaya Scodelario as Carina Smyth. It is stated that Carina will be seen as an astronomer and the love interest of Henry.

Meanwhile, there are reports that Disney has also replaced the scriptwriter Terry Rossio with Jeff Nathanson in order to provide a new angle to the "Pirates of the Caribbean 5" storyline. It is also reported that the movie will under the helm of new directors Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg.

The "Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales" is slated to be released on May 26, 2017.
