Google Nexus 2016 Rumors: Device Might Sport Metal-Glass Chassis With Exceptional Hardware Specs
Dheeraj RThe upcoming Google Nexus 2016 flagship device is rumored to consist of many exceptional specs and features compared to its predecessors. Reports claimed that the seventh installment of the device from Google will be made available in two variants, namely Marlin and Sailfish, manufactured by HTC.
PC Advisor reported that a 3D video was leaked online created by Techconfigurations, which gave a sneak peek at the Google Nexus 2016 phone. It is expected to sport improvised design with new metal and glass chassis. It is stated that the Nexus phone will consist of large glass piece on the back. Reports also claimed that the device will also feature slim and sleek look as compared to its earlier installment.
According to the latest reports, the upcoming Google smartphone is expected to showcase many enhanced functionalities in terms of hardware and software. The Bit Bag reported that the Nexus 2016 will be powered by Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with 4 GB RAM. The smartphone is stated to consist of 32 GB and 128 GB internal memory options.
Reports claimed that both the variants of the Google phone will have huge displays. The Google Nexus Marlin is expected to be packed with a 5.5-inch screen and 2K AMOLED display. On the other hand, the other variant, Google Nexus Sailfish, will be featuring a 5-inch 1080p display.
Furthermore, Geek Bench reported that both the Google Nexus 2016 variants will sport similar camera specs with a 12-megapixel rear and 8-megapixel front snapper. However, they will be different in terms of battery. The Nexus Marlin is expected to have 3,450 mAh battery whereas Nexus Sailfish is expected to be powered by a 2,770 mAh battery.
In addition, the Google Nexus 2016 will consist of the upcoming Android 7.0 Nougat OS. There are reports that the smartphone will thus have features like Google Assistant Integration, new performance mode, different keyboard shortcuts, and improvised notification replies.
The Google Nexus 2016 device is expected to be released in August 2016 after the launch of the upcoming Android OS.
