'DOOM' Free Major Update Brings Multiplayer Modes, New Demon, More; 'Unto The Evil' DLC And 'Doom: The Board Game' Following
C. de LacyBethesda's slaughter-fest first person shooter "Doom" reboot is getting a big update coming in less than 24 hours. Tagging along this update is the "Unto The Evil" DLC and later on, a tabletop board game inspired from the game will come out.
The update for "Doom" will introduce players into two new multiplayer modes called Exodus and Sector.
Exodus is similar to most Capture-The-Flag multiplayer fps games with only one flag. Sector is more complex with its objective-based capture-and-hold mode.
Along with the newly introduced mutliplayer modes is the SnapMap editor. This will add a customizable weapon wheel function. A demon named Mancubus is also going to be made available. All these updates will also be wrapped up with a huge number of improvements and bug fixes.
A week after, the game's first premium multiplayer add-on"Unto The Evil" DLC will be released. This will be a bundle of three new additional multiplayer maps, another playable demon called Harvester and a new weapon called UAC EMG Pistol along with new cosmetics and the Kinetic Mine.
"Doom: Unto The Evil" will be priced $14.99 and will be made available for PlayStation 4, Windows and Xbox One platforms.

Meanwhile, Fantasy Flight Games have also announced another "Doom"-related treat in the form of their new tabletop game "Doom: The Board Game." This wouldn't actually be the first time that FFG will do a "Doom" tabletop game as they already did it before in 2004.
According to the company's announcement, this new version is a "completely redesigned tactical experience."
The game will require at least two and up to five players to participate. One player controls the legions of hell while the rest will be taking the roles of UAC Marines.
In order for the Marines to achieve victory, they must clear certain objectives. This is quite common with tabletop games so we could be expect to have our friends get colored keys here and there. The demon's goal is more simple and it is to just kill the Marines.
Stay tuned for updates and reviews for "Doom" and "Doom: The Board Game" as we wait for their respective releases.
