With less than a year before it hits the theaters, fans of the "Power Rangers" movie have now been waiting for spoilers and updates on the things that they must look forward to.

Will it take off from the 1995 film "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie"? What changes should fans expect from the third feature film of the "Power Rangers" franchise?

Below are several updates we have gathered about the upcoming 2017 superhero movie:

1. It will be a "coming of age."

As described by Dacre Montgomery (Red Ranger), the new "Power Rangers" movie will keep up with the present time. However, it will continue to inject some values of the original film which means that it still be "incredibly entertaining and fun," as what MTV reported.  

Becky G (Yellow Ranger) further explained that "There's a lot that keeps the true essence of the original story, but it's still relevant to now."

As for Ludi Lin (Black Ranger), "We stripped a few things away, but the Power Rangers are still there."

2. It will be in a "reinvented place."

Based on how director Dean Israelite would put, the upcoming "Power Rangers" movie will be "a new reimagined, reinvented place, and that yes, it's going to be the origin story of these five kids from the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers - but we're bringing it to its own arena."

3. It will be like the "Dark Knight."

In an interview with The Huffington Post, Bryan Cranston, who is playing as Zordon, the mentor of the young superheroes, he made a comparison between their movie and the "Dark Knight" series.

"This is as different a reimagining as the 'Batman' television series as it became the 'Batman' movie series," he said. "You can't compare those two, and nor can you compare this movie version of the 'Power Rangers' to that television series."

"It's unrecognizable for the most part," he added about the "Power Rangers" movie. "There are tenets of the folklore that you hold onto for sure, but the inspiration is different, and the sensibility of it, and the approach to the filmmaking is completely different."

4. The young superheroes never knew Bryan Cranston will be their mentor.

While talking to Entertainment Weekly, Montgomery admitted that they initially had no idea that the actor will be their "wise guru" in the new "Power Rangers" movie.
