5 Reasons Why Huawei MateBook Is Better Than The Apple iPad Pro

C. de Lacy

Apple's iPad Pro is a beast of a tablet with all its beefed-up specs, but Huawei's MateBook is no slouch either. Some still deem Apple's tablet as the better choice, but Huawei might just change that with a number of reasons.

Performance

Based from the actual spec sheet from Huawei's official website, the Huawei MateBook is powered by a 3.1 GHz Intel Core M processor. This is by far, better than what is found on the iPad Pro, which is the A9X 2.26 GHz.

Another thing to take note here is that the Matebook runs a desktop version of Windows. The iPad Pro runs it proprietary mobile iOS.

iPad Pro's RAM also is stuck with a 4GB limitation while MateBook goes as high as 8GB. That's clearly twice as much memory, the MateBook can handle as opposed to the iPad Pro's.

Software and Features

iPad Pro's main goal is to bring a bigger screen, stretching up to 12.9-inch and possibly, a hybrid experience of tablet and laptop.

This still doesn't change the fact the iPad Pro, just like the other iPads before it, is still running a mobile operating system.

If multitasking is one of the main concern for such a big screen, MateBook gains the advantage as it runs on an actual Windows 10 OS, which works the same way a laptop would

It may not have access to the rich collection of apps from Apple's AppStore, but with multitasking, it gets the job done and Apple's iPad Pro gets far behind in this aspect.

Connectivity

MateBook has implemented USB-C. This is something not present with Apple's iPad Pro. Along with it, the MateBook also has the legacy peripherals that can charge and sync the device. It even has a microUSB dongle to USB-A. All these comes out of the box without the need to purchase anything else.

HDMI and VGA is even included to further widen the broad connectivity of the MateBook with a lot of devices.

Price

Huawei's MateBook is $100 cheaper than the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, which almost touches the $800 mark. The MateBook runs a full-fledged desktop OS, which gives you access to even more applications than Apple's Mobile AppStore.

With more than a decent performance, Huawei's MateBook aces the price department and definitely is a bang for the buck.
