"Pitch Perfect 3" updates have already surfaced online, even though the movie still has a long way to go before hitting the big screen.

Actress Anna Kendrick, who has been previously rumored not to return for the third film, will be reprising her role as Beca. According to numerous reports, it is hard for many to imagine a sequel without Kendrick on the lead role.

In her interview with Mari Claire UK, she shared the good relationship she has with her co-stars in the movie franchise. "In the truest sense" they are like a family, the "Mr. Right" actress said.

"We didn't choose each other, but if anyone tried to say anything against one of us, none of us would stand for it," she added.

She also revealed that they have a group text wherein they say "Love you guys, miss you so much, etc." to each other.

However, the actress claimed that she's not so good with being serious.

"While I'm trying to think of a joke to text, because I'm not so great with sincerity. I'm like, "Get away from me." It's not that I don't love them, it's just that's not in my personality."

Aside from Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Brittany Snow, and Hailee Steinfeld will be back as Fat Amy, Chloe, and Emily, respectively.

Furthermore, actor Adam Devine who previously expressed uncertainty in the upcoming movie back in July has now expressed interest in reprising his role, the source said. However, he might not be available for filming until summer.

"It bums me out, because I would love to do it, but I would love to do it, but I have all these other things going," he said.

Moreover, according to source, "Pitch Perfect 3" is set to be directed by Trish Sie of "Step Up" as Elizabeth Banks withdrew her role as director due to personal reasons.

"Pitch Perfect 3" is expected to premiere in December, 2017.
