"The Originals" season 4 is expected to be released real soon; however, fans are currently worried about its cancellation after the news that Season 4 is only going to have 13 episodes.

Earlier this year, the CW has announced that they wouldn't air the latest season until January 2017 to strengthen the mid-season line-up.

According to Inquisitr, it is possible that the delay was due to condensing of viewing figures.

On the other hand, speculations about Mikaelson siblings in the dreamscape surfaced online.

It was said that despite all the sufferings that the family is going through, two siblings will lean on each other for strength.

Klaus played by Joseph Morgan still suffers the consequences of the many years he spent in selfishness. With Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Freya (Riley Voelkel) somehow played a part of Davina's (Danielle Campbell) passing,  so it is only Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic) and Rebekah (Claire Holt) who can trust each other.

Julie Plec, the executive producer, as reported by Entertainment Weekly, said that the situation makes Rebekah and Kol to bond in the Originals Season 4.

"Rebekah, like her siblings, has gotten caught up into the unified family takedown and spent five years in an alternate reality and is now back once again with that same choice she always has: What is my life supposed to be outside this crazy family," showrunner Julie Plec says. "Kol, interestingly enough, is asking himself those same questions. The two of them are going to bond in a way that we haven't gotten to see so much about what their future is in this family and how much of this crazy they're expected to live through."

"The Originals" season 4 one of the most popular in CW and is slated for a premiere sometime early 2017, however, no one from the cast has confirmed that it will be the last.
