This report is intended to compare the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Sony Xperia Z5 based on their design, display, processor, operating system, and battery capacity to provide you with an insight on which is the better smartphone for you.

To begin with, the Samsung Galaxy S6 sports a lighter body compared to the Sony Xperia Z5 phone. Both the smartphones sport metallic chassis and glass front and rear panel with the fingerprint sensor for additional security measures. However, the Samsung phone has curved edges with a mirror finish as compared to its predecessor. While, the Sony device consists of a glossy finish with frosted glass at the rear.

In terms of display, the Sony smartphone excels with a 5.2-inch screen with Super AMOLED display panel and 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution whereas the Galaxy S6 sports a 5.1-inch screen with Full HD display and 1440x2560 pixels resolution. The Xperia Z5 also consists of the Super Vivid Mode, which will provide you with super vibrant colors.

When it comes to performance-related specs, the Samsung Galaxy S6 is powered by an Exynos 7420 chipset while the Sony Xperia Z5 consists of a Snapdragon 810 processor. Both the phones features 3 GB of RAM capacity but have different internal storage options. The Samsung device provides you with the storage capacity of 32 GB or 64 GB or 128 GB while the Sony phone features just 32 GB storage option.

As far as the battery specs are concerned, the Sony Xperia Z5 again outshines the Galaxy S6 with a 2900 mAh battery capacity as compared to the latter's battery of 2550 mAh power. Furthermore, the Samsung phone sports a heart sensor whereas the Sony phone features a water-resistant design panel.

Moreover, the Samsung Galaxy S6 features a 16-megapixel rear and a 5-megapixel front camera, whereas the Xperia Z5 sports a 23-megapixel rear and a 5.1-megapixel front camera. In terms of software, the Sony phone runs on the Android v6.0 Marshmallow operating system with a planned upgrade to 7.0 Nougat OS. On the other hand, the Samsung device consists of the Android v5.0.2 Lollipop software upgradable to v6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system.

To sum up, the Sony Xperia Z5 surpasses the Samsung Galaxy S6 in most areas with an excellent display, powerful processor, and long battery life. However, choosing a phone will depend on your specs requirements.
