Among the highlighted features of the Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 include Super AMOLED display, IPS panel, huge batteries, and Android Lollipop OS. Below we have noted and pinned all the major specs, which will help you in choosing the best buy option.

To start with, the 2016 variant of the Samsung Galaxy J7 is touted to be one of the most competitive phones in the market with a plastic chassis and sleeker body compared to its predecessors. On the other hand, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 consists of a sturdy metallic chassis with round edges.

In terms of display specs, the Galaxy J7 phone sports a 5.5-inch screen with Super AMOLED display and 720 x 1280 pixel resolutions whereas the Redmi Note 3 features a 5.5-inch screen with IPS LCD display and higher resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels.

When it comes to performance-related specs, the Samsung Galaxy J7 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 chipset with 2 GB RAM and internal storage of 16 GB on board that can be expanded to 256 GB.  On the other hand, the Redmi Note 3 sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor with different RAM and internal storage capacity. The company has launched the one variant of the device with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB storage whereas the other variant consists of 3 GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage option.

Furthermore, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 excels with a 16-megapixel rear camera as against the Samsung Galaxy J7's 13-megapixel rear camera. Both the phones have a 5-megapixel front camera with additional features like autofocus and dual-LED flash.

As far as the software specs are concerned, the Galaxy J7 2016 runs on the 6.0 version of the Android Marshmallow operating system as compared to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3's Android v5.1.1 Lollipop OS. In terms of battery capacity, the Samsung device consists of 3,300 mAh power whereas the Xiaomi device features powerful 4050 mAh battery.

Lastly, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is touted to a budget-friendly option with a price tag of around $142 whereas the Samsung Galaxy J7 is a mid-range smartphone variant, which is priced for $202.

The Redmi Note 3 turns out to be the best choice, however, choosing a phone between the two will totally depend on your needs as both of them are almost at a tie, except Xiaomi's huge battery, high-performance processor, and higher resolution panel.
