"The Pirates of the Caribbean 5" trailer was just recently released and avid fans have noticed that Johnny Depp is absent from the trailer. Does this mean that there will be a new Jack Sparrow?

Previously, it has been reported that Depp is causing trouble and delay for the film as he is frequently late and absent. It has been said that he is preoccupied with his dying relationship with now-estranged wife Amber Heard.

At one point, it was rumored that Depp cut the end of his fingerprint that halt the shooting for "Pirates of the Caribbean 5" because he had flown back to the US to undergo surgery.

However, the IGN reported that Depp will return to play as Jack Sparrow despite not appearing in the trailer. After all, he was mentioned by new nemesis Captain Salazar.

The teaser shows Javier Bardem's (Captain Salazar) deadly ghost, who is on the chase for Jack Sparrow with a note for the bandit: "Find Sparrow for me and relay a message from Captain Salazar and tell him, 'Death comes straight for him.' Will you say that to him? Please?"

The official outline of the film released by Disney during the convention D23 said:

"Thrust into an all-new adventure, a down-on-his-luck Captain Jack Sparrow finds the winds of ill-fortune blowing even more strongly when deadly ghost pirates led by his old nemesis, the terrifying Captain Salazar (Bardem), escape from the Devil's Triangle, determined to kill every pirate at sea ... including him," as reported by The Insider. "Captain Jack's only hope of survival lies in seeking out the legendary Trident of Poseidon, a powerful artifact that bestows upon its possessor total control over the seas."

"The Pirates of the Caribbean 5" also stars   Kaya Scodelario, Orlando Bloom, Brenton Thwaites, Martin Klebba, Geoffrey Rush, Kevin McNally, Stephen Graham, Golshifteh Farahani and is set for release on May 2017 instead of July 7, 2017.
