Fans of Robert Pattinson and Kirsten Stewart were excited as reports surfaced that a new sequel to "Twilight" might be possible. However, even if the much-awaited sequel for the vampire movie has not yet been officially confirmed, FKA Twigs' boyfriend has already turned down his role as Edward Cullen.

Three years after the global success of the "Twilight" series, Lionsgate Chairman Patrick Wachsberger mentioned the possibility of a sequel.

"It's a possibility. Not a certainty, but it's a possibility. It's about Stephenie (Meyer). If she wants to tell a story related to those characters, we're here for her," Wachsberger explained.

Meanwhile, Kirsten Stewart might not participate in the "Twilight" sequel. She explained that she wanted to accept more mature roles apart from being Bella Swan.

"People wanted me and Rob to be together so badly that our relationship was made into a product. It wasn't real life anymore. And that was gross to me," she told NY Times about her past with the actor.

Furthermore, according to a previous report, she would like to focus on bigger roles that will make her a big star. A source claimed that she also wants to bag awards, and returning to the "Twilight "sequel might be a hindrance.

In addition, looks like Robert Pattinson has the same thoughts of not coming back to the "Twilight" sequel.

"I'd be curious what Stephenie would write, but I just think I'd probably be too old," the actor reportedly said.

However, the 30-year-old actor certainly hasn't ruled out another appearance as his immortal character.

"I'm already too old. But yeah, it'd be kind of interesting," he further added.

Meanwhile, according to reports appearing online, Summit Entertainment is considering to continue the movie series past the story from the original novels with sources suggesting TV show spin-offs "merely set in the same world as the one in the movies, but not featuring the main trio."

However, there were no official statement if the "Twilight" sequel or any form of installment will be pushed through. FKA Twigs' beau, Robert Pattinson, as well as Kirsten Stewart, have not even agreed in reprising their role.
