The Lenovo K5 is taller and wider than the Galaxy J7 Prime. On the other hand, the latter is denser and has a sleeker design than the Lenovo smartphone.

Looking at the hardware, the Galaxy J7 Prime is powered by Exynos 7870 chipset with an octa-core processor working at 1.6 GHz supported by Mali-t830MP2. In the case of the Lenovo K5 Note model, it is powered by 1.8 GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 supported by Mali-T830MP2 according to NDTV Gadgets.  It seems the Lenovo smartphone has better CPU speed approximately 12 % and can provide a smoother experience, especially when multitasking between applications than the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime.

The Galaxy J7 Prime has more RAM capacity than the K5 Note smartphone. The Galaxy J7 Prime smartphone also has twice the expandable memory capacity as that of the Lenovo K5 Note model according to GSM Arena. So more photos, songs, video and applications can be stored on the Samsung smartphone.

The K5 Note has more battery capacity than the Galaxy J7 Prime smartphone. Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime was launched with the operating system as Android 6.0 while in the case of Lenovo smartphone it was launched with Android 5.1 operating system.

The Lenovo smartphone supports HD video recording, unlike the Samsung  Galaxy J7 Prime model. The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime comes in two colors, namely gold and black whereas the Lenovo K5 Note comes in three colors namely silver, gray, and gold.

It seems the Lenovo K5 Note does seem to beat the Samsung Galaxy Prime 7 in most categories. A sleek design and more expandable storage capacity do bring some appeal for the Samsung Galaxy Prime 7.
