'Sausage Party 2' Confirmed? Alternate Ending Shows Seth Rogen, Michael Cera, Edward Norton Meet Frank, Cartoons [Spoilers]

Sony has just revealed an alternate ending for one of the biggest box office hits of the summer, R-Rated animated CGI movie "Sausage Party."

Ahead of its Blu-Ray and DVD release on Nov. 8, Sony has released a few clips and special features from the movie, according to Comicbook.com. In one of these clips the creators of "Sausage Party" revealed that there was an alternate ending that never made it in the final movie.

How It Ended

The ending scene of "Sausage Party" saw Frank (Seth Rogen), Brenda (Kristen Wiig) and the other characters learn about how they are "cartoons," and are voiced by real celebrities from the real world. The movie ends with Frank and the gang going through a portal to meet their real-life counterparts in the flesh.

How It REALLY Ended

It turns out that the movie didn't end there. As the clip shows below, the gang made it to the real world, landing on what is said as James Franco's Walk of Fame star. The group saw the three actors, Seth Rogen, Edward Norton and Michael Cera wolfing down their food, much to their horror.

"Sausage Party" co-director Conrad Vernon said that this was supposed to be the actual ending for the movie, but felt like they were not getting "the bang for their buck."

'Sausage Party 2' Confirmed?

It looks like the ending of "Sausage Party" leaves a lot of room for a sequel. The movie has become the highest grossing R-rated animated film of all time, taking the crown from 1999 movie "South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut."

Seth Rogen, who is also a producer for the film, previously said that he is highly interested in making a sequel for "Sausage Party," as well as more animated films aimed for an adult audience.

"It's something we talk about, yeah," Rogen told Fandango in an interview last August. "That's one of the reasons why we took away the [original] ending because we thought, well, if that was the first scene of the next movie it's probably not what you would want it to be, with them just seeing us and finding us basically."

"Sausage Party" will be out on Blu-Ray and DVD on Nov. 8.
