The LG G5, the Google Pixel, and the iPhone 7 belong to the top powerhouse smartphones launched in 2016. Here is a nuts and bolts comparison of the three in case you're in the market for a new mobile.

When it comes to overall physical design, the LG G5 is taller, wider and denser than the Google Pixel, which is followed by the iPhone 7. The LG smartphone also has the best design, which is then followed by the Apple smartphone and then by Pixel smartphone.

From the display perspective, the LG G5 has a 5.3-inch screen whereas the Google Pixel sports a 5-inch AMOLED screen and the iPhone 7 sports a 4.7-inch Retina HD LED backlit screen. The screen resolution, as well as the pixel per inch, is highest for G5 model followed by the Google smartphone and then by iPhone 7.

Looking under the hoods, the LG smartphone is powered by 2.15 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 whereas the Pixel smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 and iPhone7 is powered by A10 fusion with 64-bit architecture, M10 motion coprocessor according to Digital Trends. The iPhone 7 seems to have faster CPU speed, followed by the LG smartphone and then by Google Pixel.

Both Android smartphones have similar RAM capacity and greater than the Apple smartphone. However, among all three LG G5 has an expandable memory capacity of 200 GB according to NDTV Gadgets.

The LG G5 comes with 16 MP rear camera and a 8 MP front camera whereas the Google Pixel comes with 12.3 MP rear camera and a 8 MP front camera and the iPhone 7 comes with  12 MP rear camera and a 7 MP front camera. The camera specs are topped by the LG smartphone followed by Google smartphone and then by the iPhone 7.

Google Pixel packs a decent battery capacity, slightly higher than that of iPhone 7 model. However, the battery capacity is topped by the LG G5 model. The 3.5 mm headphone jack is present in the Google Pixel model but has been abandoned in iPhone 7 model.

Among the three smartphones, the G5 is the only one that has a dual-SIM function.

The LG G5 seems to beat the iPhone 7 and the Google Pixel in most features. However, both the iPhone 7 and the Google Pixel have strong features. It would be more of a personal preference to decide the winner.
