The latest trade rumors hinted that the New Orleans Pelicans and the New York Knicks might enter a deal before the trade deadline. Reports hinted that the Knicks might offer their power forward Kristaps Porzingis and point guard Derrick Rose in exchange for the Pelicans' Anthony Davis.

Sports Rageous reported that the New Orleans Pelicans are trying to rebuild their roster as the team has failed to win a single match in the current NBA season. Reports claimed that adding Porzingis and Rose will help the Pelicans get back in the game and also enhance their young lineup.

Besides, it is stated that both the players will provide the New Orleans Pelicans with excellent offensive and defensive skillset, which is expected to help the team to provide tough competition to other teams in the NBA league.

On the other hand, other reports suggested that even the New York Knicks are looking forward to trading Porzingis due to his issues with the team's head coach Jeff Hornacek. It is stated that Hornacek is not satisfied with Porzingis' performance in the ongoing NBA season, which has further touted his departure from the team.

As the Knicks are planning to improve their defensive gameplay, adding Davis is expected to help them achieve their goal. Reports claimed that Davis might be teamed up with center Joakim Noah and small forward Carmelo Anthony, which will help the team to put up high scores on the board in the NBA season.

ESPN's trade machine suggested that an Anthony Davis deal for Derrick Rose and Kristaps Porzingis will prove beneficial for both the teams. However, none of the teams have officially commented on the rumored trade scenario involving Anthony Davis and Kristaps Porzingis.
