Apple is known for one of the best tablets in the market. We have the iPad Air 2, iPad Mini 4, and iPad Pro 9.7 released consecutively after 2014. Now that there are no new announcements regarding the release of latest iPads, we have come with the comparison of best available tablets in the market.

Starting with the design and display, the iPad Mini as expected features the smallest screen with 7.9" display. On the other hand, the iPad Air 2 and iPad Pro 9.7" boast a huge 9.7" display. The Apple family comes with LED backlit IPS LCD touchscreen with scratch-resistant glass and oleophobic coating. The resolution in all the iPads remains 1536 x 2048 pixels, while iPad Pro comes with latest True Tone display.

These three iPads might have launched with different iOS version, but currently all are upgradable to iOS 10.1.

The only thing that a device with huge display requires is a better processor to run it. The mini comes with Apple A8 chipset with Dual-core 1.5 GHz Typhoon while, iPad Air 2 comes with a better Apple A8X chipset with Triple-core 1.5 GHz Typhoon. The latest iPad Pro 9.7" feature the better Apple A9X with Dual-core 2.16 GHz (Twister).

The gaming experience is taken care by quad-core graphics in iPad Mini 4, octa-core graphics in iPad Air 2 and the latest 12-core graphics in iPad Pro 9.7.

In terms of RAM, the Apple family gets no upgrade with 2GB RAM in all the three iPads. The storage option is enhanced with 16/32/64/128 GB offering in Mini 4 and Air 2. However, the iPad Pro comes with only 32/128/256GB internal storage option.

Though, the only use of iPad camera is for face-time, the earlier two models namely Mini and Air 2 comes with similar 8MP rear and 1.12MP front camera. The latest iPad Pro model comes with better 8MP lens in back and 5MP snapper in front.

The iPad Mini has smaller battery than the other two 9.7" models which have power source of 27.9Wh.

They come with Siri, fingerprint, iCloud service. The only difference is in the price of these models. As of now, choosing among the iPad Mini 4, iPad Air 2, and iPad Pro will depend on your preference of size and power.
