'Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim' Ratings Reach 15 Percent Viewership; SBS Medical Drama Series Continue To Rise

"Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim" has already revealed so much during the first week. With a kissing scene and a sudden death in the first episode, viewers are expecting more as the story progresses.

"Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim" has peaked at 13.8 percent viewership rating nationwide with its latest episode aired on Nov. 15. It premiered on Nov. 7 and was met with 9.5 percent viewership nationwide. It stars Han Suk Kyu, Yoo Yeon Seok, and Seo Hyun Jin.

The period drama began with a flashback sequence of Dong-Joo's childhood and revealed the reason behind his ambition to be a successful surgeon. The premiere episode then introduced its viewers to the female lead and focused on her dedication to work.

Apart from introducing the leads, the first episode also took its viewers through a roller coaster of events and featured the demise of a character towards the end.

Meanwhile, latest spoilers revealed that on episode four of the medical drama series will have  both Kang Dong-joo and Yoon Seo-jeong worked their backside off to become a doctor. For Kang Dong-joo, it was to beat someone out there and for Yoon Seo-jeong, it was to be recognized by someone. The humanist drama depicts how the two doctors meet the oddball doctor, Kim Sa-bu and become to realize the true value of life and solace of love.

The period drama, starring Han Suk-Kyu in title role, revolves around the life of a successful doctor named Boo Yong-ju, the first Korean surgeon to have triple board certificate. Despite being a rising star in the medical field, he quits his job and decides to lend his service to a small clinic for some unknown reason.

"Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim" airs on Mondays and Tuesdays at 10 p.m. KST on SBS.
