Kim So Hyun to Star In A New MBC Historical Drama With INFINITE's L And Yoo Seung Ho

After "Hey Ghost, Let's Fight" Kim So Hyun is confirmed to star on a new MBC historical drama with INFINITE's L and Yoo Seung Ho.
She's been casted as the female lead of an upcoming MBC historical drama called "Monarch - Owner of the Mask". The drama will be a fictional story taking place in 1700s Joseon, dealing with politics and romance and centered around the crown prince, who will be played by Yoo Seung Ho.
Before the news about Kim So Hyun leading the new historical drama spread the net, it was Yoo Seung Ho's name who first came into the picture.
"It is true that he received the offer to appear in 'Monarch - Owner of the Mask'; however, it's just one of the productions he's reviewing, and nothing is confirmed,"his agency once said.
Thirty days after Yoo Seung Ho was confirmed to act the male lead role, MBC finally announced Kim So Hyun as the lead actress. And fans are extremely excited upon learning about this.
Kim So Hyun's role will be that of a woman who seeks revenge against the crown prince but ends up falling in love with him.
On November 23, Woollim Entertainment officially announced that INFINITE's L will also be joining "Monarch- Owner of the Mask".
"The role caught my attention the moment I saw it. With appreciation for the given opportunity, I will work my best in filming," the 24-year-old actor said.
As for L in the new drama, he will be the "fake king" named Lee Sun who was born with great intelligence but ignored due to his low social ranking. With help of Kim So Hyun's teaching, he learns how to read and write, and eventually masquerades as the king.
The new MBC drama "Monarch- Owner of the Mask" is set to start filming this December and will start airing January next year.
