The source added that as the series comes back, viewers will find out "whether the new president will be Mellie Grant or Franscisco Vargas," which will also tell "just how much power Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) is going to continue to have in Washington D.C."

The tagline is said to be very meaningful and Liv might have an explosive revelation or surprising things to offer as soon as the series returns.

Meanwhile, rumors have it that one major character is going to die as the teaser video for "Scandal" Season 6 showed someone was found inside a body bag, and upon knowing who is inside, Olivia can be heard saying "Oh My God!"

Other speculated that it will be Franscisco Vargas as he was also rumored to win the election. It was said that Grant might not accept her defeat and ordered her man to assassinate the newly elected president. Some said that his Vice President, Cryrus Beene might kill Vargas since it is his biggest ambition to become the president.

Moreover, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Shonda Rhimes revealed that Season 6 will hold more "optimism" for Olivia Pope.

"I don't know if you all will notice this - because Olivia beats people to death with chairs and stuff - but I feel like I can see it: There's an optimism that exists in the work now," said Rhimes. "I think it's especially true in Grey's [Anatomy]," she said.

"On Grey's, there's definitely a sense of optimism. And on Scandal, we're heading some place that's optimistic," she continued.

In addition, Zoe Perry, the daughter of actor Jeff Perry is said to return in the political drama "Scandal" Season 6 along with Glee star Jessalyn Gilsig.
