Xbox has just started its Countdown to New Year Sale, offering huge price drops on games for both Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles. Although the bonanza will extend until January 9, 2017, not all products are covered on the entire 18-day sales run.

Covering more than 350 deals, the Countdown to New Year Sale will announce daily and weekly promo outing. This will prompt Xbox owners to visit its website frequently for discounted deals on their favorite games. From 10 percent off, the deals can offer up to 75 percent off on featured games.

The sale covers more than 70 Xbox One games and about 50 Xbox 360 games.

The deals are up for grabs for all Xbox Live members with Gold subscribers getting extra savings. Among the prime Xbox games included in the winter sale include Battlefield 1 ($39), Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare ($39), Final Fantasy XV ($45), Gears of War 4 ($33), NBA 2K17 ($42), Destiny: The Collection ($26), Dishonored 2 ($40), Titanfall 2 ($30 with Gold), The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition ($40), Mafia III ($39), Grand Theft Auto V ($30), Forza Horizon 3 ($39), Deus Ex: Mankind Divided ($30), and Dark Souls III ($30).

During the sales period, Microsoft also offers monthly Xbox Live Gold memberships for only $1; however, this price is only for those who have never subscribed to Xbox Live before except in countries such as Portugal, Korea, and Brazil. The offer is likewise open to non-Xbox Live Gold members on Xbox 360 in Australia, Canada, Chile, Columbia, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
