PS4 Vs. PS4 Pro Comparison: PS4 Pro Proved Graphics Power; Scores Over PS4 In Actual 4K Gaming
Keisuke AkioThe PS4 Pro and PS4 have been widely compared in many aspects. Let's see how these two Sony consoles fair in the 4K category by evaluating them both on several games experience.
All the freshest and latest PS4 games are required to support a Pro mode, which means enriched resolution and improved texture and effects quality. Significantly, games that back an increased 4K mode can run smoothly as they do on a standard PS4 console.
According to Polygon, even without a 4K TV, games will definitely look better on the PS4 Pro, although to what degree is down to the games' developer. Here is a rundown of games and how they fair in 4K using these two consoles:
Skyrim
In Skyrim, the near-field image content relishes a tangible boost in detail and clarity on the PS4 Pro. The ground looks distinctly more textured and natural. Blades of grass, as well as individual leaves, are easily recognizable. In addition, there is a more polished sense of depth. Overall however, the PS4 Pro's enhanced version tends to be an unconvincing showcase for its capabilities.
Rise of the Tomb Raider
PS4 Pro made a strong increase on the game's detail and clarity. The intensity is high enough that you become aware of the stacks of paper and photos on the walls whereas in PS4, everything looks flat. As for Lara, she looks more real, more human now, and not so computer-graphic on the PS4 Pro --- along with enhanced color refinement, fewer jaggies around her necklace and hair, more detail on her face and clothes, less noise in other details, Forbes narrated.
Uncharted
The most steadily operational benefit of the PS4 Pro upgrade is that Nathan's looks have become crisper than he was in the original HD take. In PS4's HD form, Nate sometimes look like he alienated from lower-res dimension, leaving him to stand out unnaturally. In the end however, while the Uncharted 4 Pro's improvements are good, it is still not obvious enough to make this a PS4 Pro seller in a way players might have hoped for.
Overall, the resolution quality being produced lies on the developers' hands. However, there is also adequate positive evidence in the early specimens of PS4 Pro's released game enhancements. For those who are thinking of having a 4K TV, you might as well consider the PS4 Pro as it is really worth paying extra for.
