Niantic Did NOT Cancel 'Pokemon GO' for Apple Watch; Hoaxes Debunked as Support Goes Live
Regin OlimberioWhen Apple announced that "Pokemon Go" is going to be supported in Apple Watch for similar purpose as that of Pokemon Go Plus, rumors and hoax cuts into the pie. "Pokemon Go" has slowed down a bit in terms of number of players but anything about the game is still cool - not a hoax, though.
Tracing back what really happened, Apple Watch made headers in September after Cupertino announced that it married "Pokemon Go." Of course, everybody got hyped up during that time because "Pokemon Go" was just two months old and still rides the euphoric state. Gamers and geeks alike witnessed barrage of information after information like never before about "Pokemon Go." Sadly, not all reports are accurate - others are joy bursts.
Fast forward to December, a report surfaced alleging that developer Niantic have decided to scrap its marriage with Apple Watch and "Pokemon Go" is already packing up. To add up in the speculation, Niantic took a vow of silence and didn't react to the rumors back then, IndieObscura said.
Now for the good news, Niantic broke its silence and the coveted support is finally here.Yes, there was a bit of change in "Pokemon Go" plan for Apple Watch and the original plan to release the support a month ago was pushed back a bit, Tech Crunch reported. Niantic is now singing the tune of "Pokemon Go" Apple Watch support and mobile gamers love it (of course, those who own an Apple Watch.)
Everything is not futile so no need to fret. While "Pokemon Go" graced Apple Watch late but at least Niantic debunked rumormongers and everything is still up. Consider this development as a nice consolation this holiday season instead of the dreaded cancellation.
Now to wrap up this whole "Pokemon Go" and Apple Watch fuss; this incident left everybody a nice lesson. Remember that not everything that glitters is gold, and not all whistleblowers are true - others are hoaxes too!
