George Michael passed away on Christmas day and it was only after he died that his charitable works came to light. People came forward to attest to the singer's generosity and they expressed extreme sadness on his tragic passing.

It was reported that the WHAM singer donates big parts of his income on regular basis. He supported foundations and organizations that help out less fortunate kids, elders and the sick.

Michael also extended assistance to random people he meets and this was revealed when those he helped shared his good deeds on social networking sites like Twitter. Some, he only met at restaurants and other common places, yet he gives them financial help after hearing their sorry plight.

One woman who wants to have the expensive vitro-fertilization procedure was able to have it with George Michael's aid. Based on the narration of British TV personality Richard Osman, the star gave the woman $18K for the treatment since he heard her story on "Deal or No Deal" show.

On Dec. 26, Osman tweeted "A woman on 'Deal Or No Deal' told us she needed £15k for IVF treatment. George Michael secretly phoned the next day and gave her the £15k."

Vector Victoria posted a comment on Osman's Twitter update about Michael's kindness. She wrote another story about the singer giving out about £25k to a complete stranger he only saw at a cafe.

The woman was crying because of her huge debt and Victoria said that the singer gave her a cheque to solve her problem. It was said that Michael did not personally hand the cheque but he asked the waitress to give it to the woman once he leaves.

Another person named Emilyne Mondo shared on her social media that she is a volunteer worker at a homeless shelter that Michael is supporting anonymously. She also said, "I've never told anyone, he asked we didn't. That's who he was."

Meanwhile, The Sun UK reported that a petition for the re-release of Michael's popular song "Careless Whisper" has been launched. According to the organizers, they are asking for #RELEASECARELESSWHISPER to raise funds for three of Michael's favorite charity houses which include the MacMillan Cancer Trust, Childline and the Terrence Higgins Trust.
