Contrary to the previous reports that Amazon's "The Grand Tour" was the newest illegally downloaded show worldwide, HBO's fantasy TV series is the one, yet again. "Game of Thrones" is still in the number one spot.

According to Mashable, being the most pirated TV show of the year isn't surprising as HBO's "Game of Thrones" has been the king since 2012. This year's data was based on TorrentFreak, a torrent-tracking blog, which has the round up of the top 10 list using numerous sources like BitTorrent public tracker stats.

The Wrap reports that "Game of Thrones" has been consistent with its numbers with around 350,000 folks actively shared episodes across a number of torrents throughout the show's peak. This happens after the show's season finale was made available online including the Winds of Winter episode.

AMC's "The Walking Dead" got the second place followed by "Westworld" in the third place. "The Flash" is on number four spot with "Arrow" coming in fifth.

The sixth place goes to "The Big Bang Theory" while "Vikings" got the number seven spot. "Lucifer" on the eight place, "Suits" on the ninth place with "The Grand Tour" coming in tenth.

This year, it's also notable that people are changing to higher quality downloads from 480p to 720p and 1080p copies. The show's next season won't debut until April or May next year as the bosses at HBO will have to push the filming back so the weather would reflect the arrival of winter in "Game of Thrones."

"Sunny weather doesn't really serve our purposes anymore," they said. Furthermore, there will only be two more series of the show and won't have the usual ten episodes as the previous seasons.

"Game of Thrones" is an adaptation of George R. R. Martin's series of fantasy novels "A Song of Ice and Fire." It debuted on HBO in the US on April 17, 2011; filmed at Titanic Studios in Belfast in the UK, Croatia, Iceland, Morocco, Malta, Spain and the US.
