Developers who are interested in giving feedback to their app users are now allowed to respond to reviews in Google Play Store. This new feature by Google was revealed on Thursday by Google Engineer Trevor Johns in a blog post.
Users who need help or want to suggest the developers about a new feature can now expect to get respond from the developers directly. But there is a catch here: not all the developers will be able to enjoy this feature. This feature is currently available for the top developers only. Users will be notified if his review gets a respond from the developers.
Google has released a Top Developer blue badge and only developers with this badge are eligible for this feature. The company didn't reveal when the rest of the developers are going to receive these badges or this feature. Developers who want to talk to their users directly are going to love this feature. It could open a new door for developers who are interested in getting reviews from users and are ready to update their apps based on the reviews.
"Conversations are meant to be two-sided, and facilitating discussion between developers and users will ultimately yield better apps, to the benefit of everyone," Trevor Johns wrote in his blog post.
