Cris Xander JulianoSamsung just can't get a break. A report by mobpicker stated that a Samsung Galaxy S6 exploded while being charged inside a home in England on Christmas Eve and this time put a baby's safety at risk. Fortunately, the baby was transferred to another crib just moments before the explosion occurred.
According to the report, Victoria Seed, the mother of the baby, was startled when she heard something explode inside the room where the Samsung Galaxy S6 was charging. She immediately grabbed her baby and ran outside while her husband unplugged the phone. Victoria stated that there was a flame coming from the phone and sparks like fireworks.
After the incident, Seed reported the incident to Samsung and was told that a replacement would be sent. After a week, the replacement has not been delivered yet.
Another related news reported that a Reddit user has experienced a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge exploding. He stated that he woke up one morning just in time to get ready for work but discovered that his phone exploded probable in the middle of the night. Fortunately the phone was not kept on the bed. The user claims that there were no heating problems with his phone prior to the incident. He stated, "I think I'm done with Samsung for a while, really gonna miss the photos I had from Africa in the fall."
The Reddit user reported the incident to Samsung and was told they would send a replacement as soon as the user sends the device that exploded. Samsung would also offer appropriate compensation for the damaged table.
Looks like Samsung has not resolved their problems of exploding devices. Parents should consider more the safety of their children until Samsung pinpoints the true cause of the explosions. Never ever leave your phones charging beside a toddler.
