"Criminal Minds" is definitely one of the toughest shows out there. Undeniably, its cast and the show's plot interests a lot of people. With its latest season coming, the entire show is to be spiced up with some new members of the ensemble, along with the high profile exits of some of the long-running show's staple characters Shemar Moore and Thomas Gibson.

Criminal Minds New Addition: The cast will be beefed up with one veteran from the 'Lost' series, Harold Perrineau. In an exclusive report here, they learned that the star of the adventure show will be joining the CBS show in a major role. On top of that, he can be a staple part of the show as it is a recurring role he will be playing.

Harrold Perrineau will be playing the role of Calvin Shaw, an ex-agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation who got incarcerated for the death of one of his informants. Perrineau was last seen in Amazon's legal drama "Goliath." His appearance in "Criminal Minds" is definitely a welcome addition as his role as Shaw will add complexity and confusion in the series.

In fact, Shaw's role has a run-in with the BAU agents, as well as the team, as they need to determine whether he is a friend or an enemy. Along with Perrineau, he will be joining new additions Adam Rodriguez and Damon Gupton who will be in the show as series regulars.

Paget Brewster was also promoted and will be returning for a regular role in the latest season as Emily Prentiss. Her role was originally casted for a short arc in one season but it seems like the producers are happy with her inclusion in the show that they made her one of this season's newest stay-ins.

Aisha Tyler also got promoted to be a series regular. Last August, Thomas Gibson was fired and left the show after an on-set altercation. However, Moore had to leave the series to pursue other endeavors and "see what else she's capable of."
