Samsung is taking the right steps in ensuring the Galaxy S8 won't replicate the Note 7's fiery tendencies. However, this move might eventually push the S8's release at a much later date.

Samsung's next flagship smartphone is one of the most highly anticipated releases of 2017. The company looks to establish itself as the world's most wanted brand for smartphones. To do that, it must ensure the S8 won't cause any trouble -- and that means the phone might likely face another delay.

According to Express, company insiders have revealed that the phone could possibly be released on April 18. Although the reports are not final, the late launch will be a far cry from earlier reports.

Back in December, reports flooded in that the phone could be released in February 2017. But the newest revelation coming from insiders reveal that there will be another delay. The company has been silent about the release date and many are speculating that it could be part of the company's marketing strategy. Samsung has reportedly set a target of shipping 60 million units of the new Galaxy S8 worldwide.

In other news, a post from Sam Mobile indicates that Samsung would not unveil the Galaxy S8 at the Mobile World Congress in February. Recent reports have surfaced that Samsung might have a separate event in New York City.

The possible launch of Samsung's much-awaited smartphone is still not verified by the company. But, according to company insiders, the company might release it late in March or in early April. The company will face another challenge with the delayed release date, but if it would make the phone safer in the long run, consumers will have to wait until further company announcements.

Samsung has not yet released an official statement on the reports. As of the moment, the official release date for the phone is still unknown. Keep posted for more details.
