Megha KediaWhile Samsung hasn't officially announced anything about the upcoming Note flagship, possibly dubbed Samsung Galaxy Note 8, rumors about the phablet's specs, price and release date details have been making rounds on the internet for quite some time now.
It is expected that taking lessons from the Galaxy Note 7 debacle, Samsung is going to leave no stone unturned to gain back confidence of its users. Talking about Samsung Galaxy Note 8 specs, the next-gen phablet is expected to feature a massive screen, possibly at 6.2 inches, with 4K resolution for virtual reality support, reported Digital Trends. There are also reports that the smartphone maker might opt for a foldable display this time. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, a fingerprint sensor and an iris scanner are also expected to be on board.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is rumored to feature Samsung's artificial intelligence (AI) assistant, likely named "Bixby," reported Business Korea. The digital assistant is rumored to be powered by AI assistant company Viv Labs which Samsung acquired in 2016. Bixby is also expected to make its way to other Samsung devices including the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus.
As far as Samsung Galaxy Note 8 release date is concerned, the launch is likely to take place in the Q3 2017. Notably, the tech giant is expected to roll out Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Edge in April. It is reported that the South Korean tech giant has delayed the phablet's release date to ensure that the upcoming device is free from any technical loophole.
