Nintendo Switch VS PS4 Pro VS Project Scorpio: Console Specs Comparison
Keisuke AkioHere is a comparison of the latest consoles in terms of all the revealed specs, prices and release-date information. This will cover Nintendo Switch, Project Scorpio and PS4 Pro.
CPU
For the CPU Nintendo Switch would sport 1020MHz Nvidia custom Tegra SOC with overclocking speed unrevealed yet. PS4 Pro would have 8-core AMD custom Jaguar CPU while Project Scorpio would have 8-core AMD custom CPU.
GPU and RAM
Nintendo Switch would run on 768MHz (docked)/307.2MHz (undocked) Nvidia custom Tegra SOC GPU and 4GB RAM. PS4 Pro would have an Integrated AMD Polaris graphics with 4.2 teraflops of performance GPU and 8GB GDDR5 RAM, while Project Scorpio would have Integrated AMD graphics with 6 teraflops of performance with RAM to be announced soon.
Storage
Nintendo Switch would have a storage of 32GB and can be expanded via MicroSDXC card. On the other hand, PS4 Pro boasts of its 1TB storage while Project Scorpio's storage is to be announced soon.
Ports
Nintendo Switch would have Game Card, Audio Jack, SD card slot, USB-C, HDMI out. PS 4 Pro would comprise HDMI, 3x USB 3.1, 1x Gigabit Ethernet, 1x PS Camera and Project Scorpio has not yet revealed the details about its specs.
Release Date
Nintendo Switch is scheduled to be released on March 3, 2017. PS4 Pro is set to be released on November 10, 2016, while according to Gamespot, Project Scorpio would probably launch on the holiday of 2017.
Release Price & Current Price
Nintendo Switch would have a release price of $299.99, with the current price not applicable as of this time. PS 4 Pro would have a release price of $399.99 with a current price of $399.99. Project Scorpio's release and current prices are not yet announced.
Both PS4 Pro and Project Scorpio support HDR while Nintendo Switch has yet to disclose information regarding HDR support. In addition, Both PS4 Pro and Project Scorpio support 4K while Nintendo Switch will have to release details about 4K support.
