"House of Cards," the acclaimed American political drama based on the UK miniseries of the same name returns on May 30 and the date was revealed during the Pledge of Allegiance when Frank and Claire are both watching the execution of a man held hostage by a terrorist. "That's right. We don't submit to terror. We make the terror," Frank said in the gruesome teaser trailer.

According to reports, "House of Cards" original creator and writer Beau Willimon is not coming back for season 5, which he said that it was time for him to ‘move on from the drama' and the series would be better off from other writers' new ideas.
"House of Cards" season 5 will likely focus on the couple's political greed when Frank announced that Claire would be his running mate in the coming election. According to the Verge, its May 30 release is a few months behind the series' usual release schedule where its first three seasons all premiered in February and season four debuted in March.
