'The Big Bang Theory' Season 11 News Update: Lead Cast Johnny Galecki Not Sure How Much Longer He Can Continue The Show

Johnny Galecki who plays Leonard Hofstadter in the hit TV comedy series "The Big Bang Theory" stated in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that he does not how much longer will he be playing the role of Sheldon's best friend in the hit comedy sitcom. The statement is made amidst numerous reports that "The Big Bang Theory" Season 11 may be in danger.

Recent reports about "The Big Bang Theory" extension talks have been conflicting so far. Though CBS head Glenn Geller had already expressed optimism about the current extension talks for the hit comedy show, no concrete detail has been released as to the current status of the negotiation.

In a recent interview with Johnny Galecki with the Entertainment Weekly Friday, "The Big Bang Theory" star weighs in on the future of the show. According to Galecki, all the people behind the hit comedy sitcom is already talking about the future of the show.

Galecki revealed that he does not know how much longer he could see himself suiting up to play as Leonard for "The Big Bang Theory". However, there is a sign of hope for the TV show's fans as Galecki also stated that the writers of the show is quite certain that they can write more materials even beyond "The Big Bang Theory" Season 10.

According to Galecki, the confidence of the show's writers plays well with the current extension talks. Galecki said that he could do it a bit longer so long as they are still having a great time making the show.

Two of the show's biggest stars have yet to give their statements about the current talks concerning "The Big Bang Theory" Season 11 extension. In September, Kaley Cuoco indicated in Jimmy Kimmel Live that the talks may all boil down to money. Recent reports also indicated that Jim Parsons who plays Sheldon Cooper in the show is currently more concerned with other endeavors outside the hit sitcom.

The statements by Galecki may give fans of the show hope for a Season 11. For now, all they can do is enjoy the antics of the cast members in "The Big Bang Theory" Season 10.
