Following "Dark Souls 3: Ashes of Ariandel," "Dark Souls 3: The Ringed City" is the second and last expansion for this game franchise. It's slated for official launch on March 28, 2017 and will be available for PS4, Xbox One and Steam.

"Dark Souls 3: The Ringed City" DLC will be sold individually, retailing at $14.99, or as part of the season pass, which you can purchase for $24.99. Fans can view the recently released DLC Announcement Trailer below.

What We Know So Far. The trailer alone has already set the bar high. Fans expectations rocket as the trailer promises new bosses, new weapons and a brand new area to explore.

According to Forbes, the expansion's official description reads that it takes place "at the close of the Age of Fire, as the world ends and all the lands converge upon themselves." Interestingly enough, the trailer opens with the same sentiments, mentioning once again that "The Ringed City is said to be at World's End."

The fanbase for "Dark Souls 3" is having a field day analysing the trailer for any hidden goodies players can expect in the final expansion. And as though the trailer wasn't enough, Bandai Namco has released some beautiful screenshots of "Dark Souls 3: The Ringed City."

The descriptions that go with each picture really help players fit the new area in with Dark Souls 3 lore. Check out all the pictures and their descriptions at VG24/7.

Now that "Dark Souls 3" is close to its final chapter, fans have expressed mixed feelings. Understandable, given that the rich plot and mythos of the game has inexplicably drawn in thousands of fans.

While it's depressing to realize that "Dark Souls 3: The Ringed City" is the final piece in the "Dark Souls" trilogy, the good news is that every loose end will most definitely be tied up with this expansion. They have to be, given that From Software revealed they have no immediate plans to revisit this universe any time soon after the second DLC's release.
